Robert Gibbs, what do you all think?
He seems to be on top of his game, pretty sharp and quick on his feet, with a personality I can like.

3. He needs to shut that asshat down
Smokers pay an incredible amount in taxes and there isn't near enough help in quitting. We don't want to cut programs that help people. Who was that anyway.

4. He's doing good, but unfortunately...

should probably get a good line on the items in the stimulus that are causing the press and Republicans a lot of concern, like smoking cessation. This stuff seems to be giving them the vapors. :eyes:

It makes sense to me (smoking costs this country an astronomical amount of money in health care costs, etc.) Family planning makes sense, too. If we reduce the size of our families, we can also reduce the amount of poverty. It's too bad that some people are only seeing all this in the short term (tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts)

He's trying to keep them out of the weeds, and doing it with finesse.

7. I'm really taken by his easy going manner and his quick to see the lighter side of the moment
He seems to put everyone at ease and that has to be good.

8. Quite a change from our previous Press Secretary.
Thankfully! Dana put my hair on end just listening to her grope for lies to spin.

9. For most of the country's history there were no "daily briefings."
It's arguable that they still are unnecessary. That said, Gibbes plays that silly game pretty well, doesn't he?

10. In todays climate I think its advantages to the Obama Administration getting their voice heard
What I will get from the press conference in watching it live is totally different from what I would get if I only read about it in the morning paper or seen in at the evening m$m news.

After 8 years of unmitigated lying and overbearing smugness (Ari, Puffy McMoonface, Snowjob, and Perino), it is refreshing to have a REAL press secretary, a full-scale human being.

13. He is doing well
far better than Ari, McClellan, Snow and Perino combined. Probably because he doesn't have to squirm and lie all the time.

He is doing good, not great. He is only a press secretary, I'm not expecting a superstar in that position.

14. To be honest
I don't think he's the best spokesperson, although he is improving a bit. But I thought him a bit weak throughout the campaign. I always thought Linda Douglas would have made a better press secretary by far.
