SarahPac she just won't go away.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jan/28/sarah-palin-political-action-committee
Alaska governor Sarah Palin opened a political action committee yesterday, a move that may not outright confirm her intentions of running for US president in 2012 but indicates she intends to remain a regular on the national political stage.

SarahPac, which will raise money online at sarahpac.com, was registered on Monday night with the US Federal Election Commission. The website went live yesterday, said Pam Pryor, who worked as a liaison between the McCain-Palin presidential campaign and the Republican National Committee.

Now Pryor is serving as a volunteer spokeswoman for the new political action committee.

The goal of the committee, according to its website, is to "make it possible for Governor Palin to continue to be a strong voice for energy independence and reform. ... SarahPac will support local and national candidates who share Governor Palin's ideas and goals for our country."

But it also allows Palin to more easily differentiate between her political activity and her gubernatorial duties, Pryor said. She can use the money raised by the political committee to donate to other like-minded candidates or to incur travel expenses on behalf of them. She also can use it to pay for her own political activities unrelated to her official job.

So, for example, Palin can use money raised by the committee to attend this weekend's Alfalfa Club dinner, Pryor said. The elite club's members include such politicians as former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The only thing missing is Joe the Plumber maybe he could be her liaison to the media since he did sooo well as a war correspondent..

7. Those rural people deserve our contempt? How about the Obama-Dem bank bailout?
They wrote the 700 billion no accountabity bailout. What kind of spending spree do you call that?

First they kept funding Iraq at GWs request; them they underwrote Wall Street at his request.

Our party office holders are corrupt.

Tell us more about why women should vote for Palin!!!

Really. Just why should women vote for a woman who doesn't stand for women?

C'mon! Let's hear it!

And your words? "Elitist Dem hatred of Women and Poor is tiresome but instructive." Seriously...time to fuck off.

14. I think she's probably going to use this to deflect
There has been increased scrutiny here on what she's doing on the state's dime as she's flitting around the countryside on her partisan business. My guess the PAC is set up to pay for these little junkets -- but she's obviously got her eyes on a bigger prize. I'm just hoping she won't run for any office in 2010 and will spend all her time self-promoting. I'm sick and tired of her.

17. What is prevailing sentiment in AK now, after her failed VP bid?
Obviously the state is Repub majority, but how do people feel?

"Go Sarah 2012! Woohoooo Alaska!"

How many people are pissed at her for ignoring AK to pimp herself for 2012? Any Republicans feel this way? Any chance that AK could vote her ass out or is she now the Great Heroine of the Tundra?

18. Sentiment is mixed,
but she's far from the superstar that she thinks she is. I think the situation in Western Alaska that I've documented here has opened a lot of people's eyes to her inability to deal with a real crisis, plus things have not been going so smoothly with her Trans-Canada deal, which was supposed to be giving her all her energy cred. She's talking a lot now about alternative energy, which is good, but I'm just not so sure that she's able to translate the talk into action. We'll see.

I think her detractors are pretty well spread across the ideological spectrum. Some of her sharpest critics have been Republicans, and the comments to stories about her in the newspaper have consistently been more "anti" than "pro," although it's hard to tell how many posters are from Outside and how many are Alaskan.
