This clipped paragraph says all anybody needs to know:
"The stimulus package passed by a vote of 244-188. Eleven Democrats voted against the measure, while no Republicans supported it."

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28891939/

Say that last part again: ".... no Republicans supported it." Not one.

There is no bipartisanship and there is no reasoning with these motherfuckers.

They are no better than an ongoing criminal enterprise. They need to be destroyed. Some say it is time to reopen Alcatraz.

Maybe so.

10. I'm guessing the usual suspects...
the blue dogs. ..
The ones who are really repugs, but wanted to run against another repug in a deep red place.

3. The Dems probably had that in there just to bargain with.
They didn't need it in this bill, and it makes the Pubs looks like the small-minded obstructionists they are.

Obama 1 - Pubs 0

9. Once they knew the Repubs wouldn't support it they could have put it back in.
Playing political games with the health and lives of poor women is trashy politics.

Taking it out was, I believe, a nod to the alliance with Rick Warren.

12. They'll get that in the Senate or some other way.
Not to worry.

Obama IS smarter than House Republicans, you know. :)

5. So much for being in a post-partisan era.
Now maybe we can get on with kicking their asses instead of pretending that they have anything useful to add to the debate.

7. It just goes to show that the GOP are loyal to their party not their fellow citizens.
Edited on Wed Jan-28-09 07:07 PM by ColbertWatcher
I'm hoping the 11 who voted against (out of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/110th_United_States_Congress#House_of_Representatives">233) are honestly representing the wishes of their constituents.

Nonetheless, as easy as it is to single out the few Dems who voted against it, did anyone expect otherwise? People have compared leading Democrats to herding cats and didn't someone once say that he didn't belong to an organized political party--he was a Democrat?

14. Because they are joining Rush in praying that it will fail
and next election, they will be able to convince people in the soup lines that it's all Obama's fault.
