3. The Republican Party was fine up until the 1960s.
After Johnson, civil rights & the Great Society all the racist capitalist pigs got disgruntled with the Democratic Party. Nixon & the GOP welcomed them with open arms.

5. Nixon shut down
the war in Vietnam. Johnson escalated it.
Nixon signed the Amtrak bill. And took Amtrak to New York to see the opera.
Not that I'm in love with Nixon or anything, I'm just saying.
All things are not black or white.
Nixon is a dead guy. Hardly am I gonna be in love with a dead guy.

7. Eisenhower pushed for the creation of the Interstate Highway System
Theodore Roosevelt got us the Pure Food and Drugs Act and the Meat Inspection Act. (Roosevelt has a very long list of positive achievements--google him and see.)

Gerald Ford delayed the onset of the Reagan era by four years.

And Nixon closed down the Vietnam War.

It's pretty bad when you have to go back to the 1950s to find a Republican president with any real achievements who was a decent human being, because the last three Republican presidents surely were not.
