Palin to avoid the RNC while in DC.

I'm sure the RNC is heartbroken over that....OH, and that PAC is to "pay for travelling" throughout Alaska so she doesn't have to do it on the state's dime. Uh-huh. Cuz she was just SO concerned about THAT in the past when she brought her brood along, right?? And she says is going to a dinner specifically because Pres Obama will be there.

“No, not at all, not at all, no. It’s helpful to have a PAC so that when I’m invited to things even like to speak at the Lincoln Day dinner in Fairbanks, to have a PAC pay for that instead of have the state pay for that because that could be considered quasi-political.

"Other governors in the past they all had a fund to be able to travel for things like that. I do not. But now we’ll have an available source of funds so that we’re not coming close to any ethical line to be crossed in terms of travel or participation in events that will help Alaska but could be seen perhaps as not worthy of state funding.”

(snip)

Q: You’ll also be going to the Alfalfa Club and the RNC this weekend?
“I don’t think the RNC. The Alfalfa dinner, yes, in fact that’s because president Obama is scheduled to be there. And how often will I have an opportunity to have dinner with the president. I will take up that offer to do so, yeah.”

Q: There’s been come concern your focus might be elsewhere after this fall. Was that part of what you talked about with legislators?

"No, because I’m sure legislators know that I’m the governor of Alaska and this is first and foremost on my mind and my agenda. Any travel or meeting or participation in anything that I will have to do with anything outside of Alaska will only be if it’s good for Alaska."

3. She is becoming as pathetic as an aging groupie
She is flying on her PAC's nickel to attend a dinner just so she can get closer to Obama via this dinner invite?

I get the feeling that her emails and missives to the Obama Administration, begging for recognition or to be allowed to help in some way, are going unanswered. It was like back when she attended that governor's conference where Obama and Biden spoke (I think that was the event) - she spoke as though she and Obama would be meeting. And they weren't - all she got was a seat in the back nosebleed section of the conference, and no meeting with the President. Made an ass of herself stuttering out a few inchoherent, incomplete sentences in response to a couple of quick press questions, and slunk on back to AK without any mission accomplished.

Ms. Palin - hate to break it you ya, but it seems that you still rate less than zero in the scheme of things for Pres. Obama. He has a real job, and he is busy getting to it. I suggest you skip these dinners where you are just praying for a chance encounter with the big guy, and get your state in order. You still have some Alaskan natives who are freezing to death and hungry - how about you fix stuff like that first?

If this was American Idol, Sarah didn't even place in the top 50. It is so wierd watching her work so hard on making herself even more irrelevent than before.

4. I'd like to point out that this is the person who was worried about
the kinds of folks that President Obama "palled around with". Now she wants dinner with him. I hope they seat her at the Ayers table.

Could you imagine the dinner conversation?

Cuz according to someone who made comments to the article, the media is not allowed into the dinner.

And each member of the Club that is having the dinner is allowed to invite a guest...so someone must have INVITED her...WTF were THEY thinking? Bleh.
