nevermind - sorry folks
Edited on Wed Jan-28-09 09:30 PM by SmileyRose
We already spent 700 billion on stimulating and now we are talking another 800 Billion on stimulating.

Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper (about 350 billion total) to send every man woman and child in America a Billion?

I know *I'd* get pretty stimulated.

Edit - attribute it to 3 days no sleep. Husband critical and me surfing to try and not think about the next hours.

Sorry folks.

2. That comes out to $4285.71 for each of the 350 million people.
I'll take mine and spend it. But I haven't seen a dime of any of this.

12. I still think that would be a better way to spend the money than giving it to shady "investors"
$4,200 for each man, woman and child, let them spend it and that should get the economy going.

13. your husband
Sorry. Don't care about all the discussion here.

What is important here is: How is your husband?

More than you can imagine, I hope he's OK. My wife died some months ago.

14. Thank you
We are forcing him to be alive at the moment. Hoping somewhere in that non-responsive body is a force to help him fight to live. In my heart I know he's in there and has the will to come back. I just hope the doctors can keep the body going long enough for the medical intervention to start working. He's mid 60's and has been sickly all his life. He's fought out of tougher.

Thanks again.

4. I would too but unfortunately your math is a bit off
$350 billion is only enough to give 350 people a billion each. It would take close to one million times that amount to give every man, woman, and child in America (approximate population 300,000,000) one billion dollars each.

Or: 300 million billion dollars.

5. 350,000,000 x1,000,000,000 =350,000,000,000,000,000 or 350 million billion.
350 billion is only $1000 for every man, woman and child.

But I'll take it.

7. Not quite
350 million people times 1 billion is a little more than 1.5 trillion (1500 billion) that is 350 million billion.. lot more zeros. then again my math is not that hot so maybe I am wrong here. :)

10. If material possessions are so overrated, I recommend such people get 350 hookers instead
And let others have the money.

Don't look at me; it's a form of stimulation, regardless of how you look at it...
