3. Did that tonight...
I told him (the Republican dick head who recently was re-elected) he ought to place signs on our interstate indicating we don't get any funding for roads and bridges cause Tim Murphy wants tax cuts!

10. Have you ever tried calling them on a weekend?
Do you get voicemail?

I'm very curious how congresscritters keep track of the calls and communicate whatever's said to their bosses. Certainly they tally things, but certainly, also, more is said on the phone than fits into a tally. I'm also curious about how they handle the volume of email they must receive, not to mention faxes and harcopy letters. It all seems a great source of information about what your voters are thinking and what they want, but we have little idea of how they, if they, use all of this stuff. There's an important story in all of this.

11. Speaking of leaving voicemail, patrice...
I used to leave Friday night (having the weekends off, Friday was a good day to get around to "doing my civic duty before the week was finished"... Well, most of the time, their voice mail had "filled".

That effectively meant Tim Murphy's office couldn't tally their constituents opinions. I then complained about it, and they wouldn't get my complaints until I REALLY complained. Never fixed this on and off problem. However, they would still be able to provide "how their constituents felt, and it was always a 50/50 in a congressional district that was easily against most of what Murphy was supporting (e.g. every damned Bush policy).

I gave up and now I e-mail. His office doesn't function by design. I'm really hoping we vote that asshole out of office next time.

6. Voted.
still 60% - 40%

Americans know what is best for the country, and republicans apparently don't care. Sheesh.
