I wonder if we're ever going to rebuild America
So many places have been left by the wayside, so many productive people abandoned as well.

Using new and more efficient technology to bring new life to the nation.

If Western Europe and Asia could be rebuilt after the spectre of war, why not treat the abandoned parts of America the same way?

On second thought, forget it. I'm just talking silly. I forgot, this is America, we have to wait until things get worse than worst before we do anything.

1. Unfortunately so true.
Until MOST products and services are provided by our domestic labor force NOTHING will change; it will of course become horrendously worse. That is the only way anything gets done in the USA; disaster must strike first.

2. Even Republiicans.. as stupid as they are.....
..know that you can not be a strong military force unless you first have a manufacturing base. Rail lines, machine shops, designers and engineers.

USA MUST BRING JOBS home from China. Refurbish our steel mills and provide alternative energy to ween us off foreign oil.

Cancel NAFTA and get out of the WTO "that giant sucking sound" . Union Labor means quality for America.. it doesn't cost to build quality.... it PAYS!

Until this happens... the USA is headed down the tubes.

3. America so needs help. Disaster areas never seem to recover

Katrina, Ike, floods, ice storms, etc. just seem to take out more and more areas of the country which never come fully back.

America doesn't even seem to do anything when worse gets worse and then dies from being ignored.

4. We will. It'll take a century or more to repair the Republican damage, but we will.

6. Didn't "America" - that being the USA, REFUSE aid from other countries after Katrina?
.
.
.

MEANWHILE

They were bombing the shit out of the Middle East with poisonous Depleted Uranium?

100's of Billions of dollars spent on destruction of nations HALF WAY ACROSS THE GLOBE that were of no imminent danger to the USA.

While their own citizens drowned and starved at home.

What's to rebuild?

Vietnam was the last time that the USA citizens really took a stand

and AGAINST THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT!

But

then everything fizzled

PNACers took over

and won

(sigh)

This country is not moved by murder of US Troops, millions of innocent civilians babies, mother and men in Iraq, drive by shootings, torture of POWs, losing their constitutional rights, losing their self-respect in the World, to vote for their lives, to prosecute criminals who are above the law, to defend their nation, to love their neighbors or care for them, NOTHING!!

It is only when it comes down to "ME" does anything matter. Only when it is too late do they cry out. And then only for themselves. They even have the fking gall to put-down people who protest for a better life, to correct wrongs, to save the whales, to save the fking universe and its people!!

I have been waiting for things to get worse, watching for the last 8 years of destruction to see anyone climb out of the brick & stone and scream enough is a enough!! Apparently enough isn't enough for the ME people yet. Somehow it has to reach down in the gruesome dirty gutter and touch them under their rock. After 8 years of republicans they still managed to have fools vote for them in great numbers! Amazing. After 8 years Rush, Hannity, Coulter & O'Rielly are still popular for their radical right views of fk the worker and protect the corporation. Amazing. When is enough enough? I don't know folks, will it take a revolution and riots and burning and looting and killing and torturing, and opening the prison doors, and shooting off a fking atom bomb in down New York to wake these ME people up? What is it going to take to wake these docile sheep up? How about we blow the fking electrical grid so you have to go outside and see what the fk happened to America!
