Cell phone technology extraordinaries, I have a question.
Edited on Thu Jan-29-09 09:25 AM by mmonk
When Verizon was spying, could they intercept phone calls from a different provider? The reason I ask is for awhile, I kept getting messages (not intended for me) from technicians connected to Verizon dealing with technical issues about this or that being "down". They could not hear me but I could hear them.

1. Probably not on their own, but with the NSA's help, who knows?
In any case, I think they had all of the major carriers on board, didn't they?

5. I was going on this article from 2006 that specifically
names Verizon, AT&T, and BellSouth as being under contract with the NSA.

4. I don't know. I know Verizon was part of a suit.
I was wondering how they patched into wireless networks. This was happening the same time a lot of my mail that was sent to me Overnight or by 2 day ground was being opened with razor blades and then taped with clear boxing tape (along with having items missing).
