Email I got about a scam (involving temp agencies)

To all Act -1/AppleOne applicants:

There is an ad in the Bakersfield Californian today that reads:

Apple One Employment is hiring for Customer Service Reps to work M-F, F/T or P/T. Please call 1888-890-2674

This was not run by our office. I have already contacted the Californian and they are investigating. When candidates call, they are asked for their SSN and address. NEVER give that information out unless you are positive who you are talking to. All registrations including I9 and W4 information are collected and take place in our offices! Please pass this information along to any of your friends and family that might be looking for a position.

Just an FYI to others in case this ad is running elsewhere.

I called them. It is a recording saying there are apple one, then it requests your name. After being on hold it says they are not available.

Crappy recording too.

Now if they would only put that time and energy into something positive.
