Remember when Newt Gingrich shut down the government over a perceived slight?
Edited on Fri Jan-30-09 09:39 AM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
when he thought he didn't get a good seat on Air Force 1? It seems like nothing has changed with the Republicans.

They are willing to sit on legislation that will help millions of Americans in a time of economic crisis, but it doesn't matter to them if they feel they haven't been kowtowed to enough. This, in spite of the fact, that they have been shown more consideration and respect than they have EVER shown Dems when they (Dems) were in the minority.

1. I didn't get to see the whole thing,
but Rachel Maddow was asking someone last night if the fact that every Republican voted *AGAINST* the bill, that would give the Democrats an excuse to take out everything they put *IN* for them. I say, "YES!".

2. A Seat of Airforce One?
That is why Gingrich shut down the government. He was lucky Clinton let him fly on it? Clinton should had made him fly commercial.

3. And it worked out so well then
I'd love to see segments on GOP whining followed by a sound bite of a yowling baby. Gee whiz, guys, you might draw the conclusion that elections have consequences and a party on the outs in Congress no longer gets to call the tune. You bunch of whiny ass titty babies.
