The Doctor who gave Suleman fertility treatment should have her liscense yanked
Completely and totally unethical of her to have done this. And Mom of 14 should get serious mental health treatment. And the waste of medical resources on this insane little baby factory is disgusting.

1. yes and yes, and grampa should be investigated for bankruptcy fraud
and also for the route by which he, a member of the Iraqi military, was able to be in this country at all.

2. I don't see why her father should be investigated
it's the doctor I want out of the field of medicine. She's an unethical piece of shit.

3. Does anyone know how she paid for the treatments?
As I understand it they are very expensive. I read somewhere that money was already tight before this pregnancy.

4. I don't know, but my main gripe is with the doc
providing fertility treatments to a woman with 6 children and a very limited income, is simply unsupportable. The mother is sick. Doc should have sent her off for counseling in lieu of fertility treatment.

12. Seeing that the woman is only 33 yo, her first six children must be all
very young. I do know that she has two, two year olds. It's hard enough dealing with 6 babies, but 14??!! :scared:

6. According to one report she said she got paid for it.
http://www2.whittierdailynews.com/news/ci_11594473

A single 33 year old woman living with her parents. She is attending graduate school and raising 6 fatherless kids, the oldest being 7 years old. No apparent income source for her or her parents except welfare. And I believe in-vitro fertilization, and not just some fertility drug, was used to produce every child - the first six and the last eight.

10. Not kidding, this might be her thesis? From the article -
The mother graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2006 with a bachelor's of science degree in child and adolescent development, according to college spokeswoman Paula Selleck. She returned as a graduate student and was last enrolled in spring, 2008.

7. Well, I just read they're facing an inquest, so clearly there are
concerns that are going to be investigated... we shall see. I hope the babies stay healthy and grow and thrive. The rest - I don't know what to think. I fear the mother has a problem... the entire story is so oddly disturbing.

8. They'll Be Fine
It's only a matter of time before various media make offers to run articles on this wonderful "miracle" family. Diane Sawyer will be sitting in their living room simpering about them. Then there's the book deal.
It's a wonderful country.

very irresponsible on the part of both parties. That said, I hope the mother gets lots of help raising these 14 kids because she will need it.

13. I think the privacy rights of an individual have been trampled to death
since the Raygun days. All that you had to do to prove any issue, technique, plan, method, or program was wrong was to find ONE individual who gamed the system and hold them up as the poster boy/girl for why this issue, technique, plan, method, or program is a bamboozle or a rip off by unscrupulous people out to make a killing. Cadillac driving welfare queens for example. So the intrusions have just gotten more egregious until we are all left with almost no privacy whatsoever anymore.

Having said that, this woman absolutely disgusts me. She has 14 kids and she can't afford 'em. Already had 6, but went in for 'fertility' treatment. What a worthless specimen. The quality of life she herself has to offer these kids is shitful. Unless she can latch onto the public tit like the Duggars with all the same media driven charity to heep her afloat, those kids are in for a really shitful time. And to have 8 damn embryos implanted is just disgusting.

I cannot believe that anyone with two brain cells to rub together supports this shit. Why does no one ever mention these kids? Now, in the long run I'm pretty sure the kids will be happy that they are alive and well and weren't harvested like seedlings in a crowded carrot patch. But that's beside the point. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE.

14. The Congress people who gave 700 billion to Wall Stree should be removed from office. nt
How can you focus on this woman while we have thieves stealing from us in the trillions?
