1. Nixon and Reagan sure. No contest.
Hell Nixon's library is about 15 minutes from my house. I have to drive by it on my way to work every day.

6. uhh no -- try Connecticut
Maine doesn't deserve to be shat upon because of it's summer residents. They purchased that property for summers. Connecticut gets the blame for the Bush cabal.

Ulysses Grant, Rutherford Hayes, James Garfield, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, William Taft, Warren Harding. A virtual who's who of the worst Presidents in history.

4. Yeah - we suck
No seriously, take any California politician with a critical eye.

Out here, every one leaves each other alone - its the local mood.

That means geniuses (Jerry Brown, Gavin Newsom) can make it just as well as Psychopaths (Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon) can make it in politics.

7. Karma's already paying California back with Ah-nuld
Any state DUMB enough to vote the Terminator into office should be pitied. For about 5 minutes.

8. I see we are into the California bashing again.
FYI I have my doubts about Arnold getting to be Governor the democratic way. When he was running after Grey Davis was recalled, it was noted by more than one news writer that he seemed to be running around like his winning was already a done deal and I'm very suspicious as to how he got there. And while we are at it lets talk about the Texans, which I think have outnumbered the Californians.

15. it's NOT bashing when you have *I'll be Back* closing down your state government.
It's a statement of FACT.

California cannot complain about looking foolish after they've put him in office. When you folks get serious about kicking the Terminator out of office, I'm sure everyone will refrain from tittering.

16. It's not for lack of trying. Many of us have tried to get petitions going to
recall him, but as a grass roots movement we don't have the deep pocket funding that Issa had and I believe that money came from the same group of back east conservative think tanks that helped push Prop. 8 through. Like I said I have my druthers that we ever put him in office. Please read the post. I believe now that we have the national scene sort of taken care of we can concentrate on Jabba the Butt.

so Davis would be recalled. That was a real hoot.

any Presidential candidate from CA is pretty much going to have to be a right wing wacko to offset the "California" aspect. The nation is not exactly going to embrace a Jerry Brown.
