Looks like the GOP is trying to prevent Al Gore from staging a global warming concert on Capitol grounds. Has anyone told these guys that they LOST back in November?

1. Probably not.

However, they are in charge until 2008 or impeachment, whichever comes first. Unfortunate, but true.

5. True.

But Congress doesn't actually do much but pass laws. Policy is set by the executive. Appointments are made by the executive. We're lots better off than we were, but still not where we need to be.

7. I'd say the ability to pass laws gives them quite a bit of power!

Besides the MINORITY Republic Party has zero ability to stop a concert on capital grounds. Probably involves applying for a permit through the capital police. It's a pretty routine process, and I'm sure Gore will prevail.

Childish behavior like this just makes the Republics look stupid and bitter, but that is par for the course for these LOSERS.

I welcome you to DU. Your statement implying the Republics are still in charge mystifies me, however.
