Fundies: Chicago's Big Gay Public School District
from our :freak:  :freak:  friends at the American Family Association's OneNewsNow:

Chicago schools - incubator for homosexual indoctrination
Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 2/6/2009 5:20:00 AM

An open homosexual has been chosen to head Chicago's public school system.

Ron Huberman has been chosen by Mayor Richard Daley as the new CEO of the Chicago Public School (CPS) system. Huberman replaces Arne Duncan, who was chosen by President Obama to fill the position of education secretary. But Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality has some concerns.

"It's sad to see that Chicago public students will have an open homosexual activist as a role model. Because when you're open and proud about homosexuality, which is a sin, you are by definition a poor role model," he contends. "And the CPS is already pro-homosexual. I think it's only going to get worse under this guy's direction."

In 2008, Chicago officials discussed a proposed homosexual school, which met resistance from both pro-family groups and homosexual activists. The proposal was shelved to be revisited at a later date, but LaBarbera says it will be interesting to see if Huberman supports the idea.

"I don't know what he's going to do," he points out. "I think the bigger concern for all the students is this comprehensive sex-ed -- the liberal pro-homosexual policies within the schools that they are trying to get in every school."

13. Wouldn't this be Mayor Daley's agenda?
It was his appointment.

14. But President Obama created the vacancy by taking Duncan
into his cabinet...these fools believe there is a conspiracy to push the 'pro-gay agenda'.

3. I swear...
What is this guy going to do, replace the district's school fight songs with Village People hits? Imagine the John Hancock High School football team running onto the field to the strains of "In The Navy."

I also love how these anti-woman activists are also anti-sex ed.

4. What does "pro" homosexual mean?
Anyone who isn't intolerant is encouraging people to become homosexual?

10. Yep, in the same way they call you "pro-abortion"
if you aren't interested in criminalizing abortions, even if you've never had one and would never choose to have one.

These people are terrified that sex lurks under their beds and in their bedroom closets, ready to grab them in the dark of night.

15. Yep, as foxfeet said, you need to hate them with all your guts
so they have no ability to have any life at all. They need to be treated as sub-human, locked up, or stuffed in the closet so deep that they are never seen again for fear of reprisal.

Of course with groups like this, similar to other groups around the world, give them an inch and they will take it a mile. They would eventually start pushing for the death penalty if they make progress on this (which they thankfully will not).

5. It may come as shock to them that some public officials do not have a hidden agenda
but I see how they'd think that, from what I know of the fundie agenda.

6. As a child in school, the head of the Board of Education
was always my role model that I tried to emulate. NOT. Who the bleep sees this person as a role model?

9. These people remind me more and more of the UFO nuts.
Or maybe it's the people who think fluoride in drinking water is a conspiracy.
