Why do republicans think that they are the only ones who should be supported
by government money? You just listen to them day in and day out, month by month and then year by year complain about government spending. All the time they collect government checks, have taxpayers pay their health insurance, have tax payers foot the bill for their staff and office, and live on the dole with taxpayer money when they junket in some sunny place and tell us they are drumming up business. I mean if they hate government why do they stay on the dole. Oh wait. See above.

2. Because they think that they are deserving
because they "contribute" to society but everyone else is just leaching off the system.

I knew a guy like that - went to the Naval Academy on an ROTC scholarship (never intended to be career military and could have just as easily gone to a cheaper school with or without the Navy paying for it but wanted the best). Did his mandatory stint in the Navy (for which he was paid reasonably well as an officer). Then went to grad school and was supported on a federal grant. Claimed he "couldn't wait to get off the government dole" but completely failing to recognize his hypocrisy. A classic case of "I've got mine, you can't have yours."
