Blissfully disconnected

I have not had the teevee on since just before 8AM.

No radio either.

Just a few quick check-ins here at DU.

And ya know ..... it does a clown good to just be blissfully ignorant, even if only for a day.

So what did I miss and about what ought I be po9utraged?

I'm still trying to recover from the news that there will be no "House" tonight, but a PRESIDENT OBAMA PRESS CONFERENCE is a more-than-adequate substitute.

It takes a national event for the TVs here to be turned on during the day.

And, yeah, dipping into DU is how I found out A-Rod confessed.

World kept turning.

3. After nearly two weeks without power,

and limited radio access (rock oldies,some weather, no news), I can tell you how NICE it was. I haven't checked in about news now until today. Thanks for starting the thread, because I need to know what is going on as well!
