An Open Letter to You Republican Obstructionist Fucks
Where were you when your small, chicken-hearted, chickenhawk "leader" commanded that you give a smooth trillion with no oversight to the likes of Goldman Sachs and AIG? Where were your fiscal conservative values hiding then?

Where were you when you marched lockstep behind the man who gave American automakers $12 billion to develop fuel efficient cars and who delivered to us the Hummer and the Excursion? Were you afraid he would out you too?

Where were you as you held a firm hand out to Israel while with the other doing your best to Bush from suffering the consequences for ordering torture? Are you afraid you too might be linked to something that will get you before The Hague?

Where were you as your crocodile tears welled for Terri Schiavo and your hard eyes gazed on stem cell research that could help find a cure for Parkinson's disease, infant cancers, and worse? Were you afraid you might lose the vote of the evangelical "Christians"?

You are whores in the pockets of the ultra-rich. When your children grow to understand what you continue to inflict on this great nation, they will be ashamed to say they know you. You are despicable, weak people not fit to lead. You will be remembered by history as such.

You have a chance now to do something that is right for the American PEOPLE upon whose backs big business has bloated. Should you choose to remain obstructionists, woe to you. You will see of what WE THE PEOPLE are made once again. YOU and your ilk have brought us to this crossroads, and even people in your own party will not tolerate your utter hypocrisy.

I would hope there is some small part of your character that can redeem you. Search until you find it. Your children are depending on you. You have given them war, lies, arrogance, and greed. Now is your chance to give them hope. Redeem yourselves.

1. Those last three words of your post are redundant.

2. Wasting hundreds of billions makes us weak, not Terri Schiavo
War, lies, arrogance, and greed should not be replaced with
socialism, mountains of national debt and endless social
programs paid for by the same American people who have worked
to keep this country free.

4. Anything but the current trashy ideas being thrown around.
Real hope and real change would be nice, not the typical
political bullshit being fed to the mentally starving masses
who'll bite on anything they're given. This spending bill
will mostly end up in the pockets of those who don't need it.
Almost a trillion dollars and how much of it will really help
this country? Some people are so wrapped up in anything with
Big O's name on it they can't see past the smooth talk long
enough to read the fine print. This country is in serious
trouble and the last thing we need is to spend billions of
dollars (that we don't have) on social programs that we don't
need. Rebuilding bridges, fixing roads, green energy, etc etc
are all great plans but how much of this spending bill
actually goes to that?

I won't say this is tax payer money because we don't have any
money, this is tax payer debt being spent and tax payers
should see the benefits, not just the friends of those who are
writing these horrible bills.

5. What changes would you rather see?
How would you design a stimulus bill?

6. Well for starters
I'd make sure that the special interest groups which are foaming at the mouth right now wouldn't get a penny. We all know Obama has to pay all of his supporters back for handing him the White House but at least be smooth about it and do it under the table, not with our tax dollars. It's estimated that 12 cents of every dollar in the spending bill would go to actual growth stimulus, 12 cents per dollar? We need to build or rebuild schools, fix the state infrastructures and create real world jobs, not give millions of dollars to BS social programs which will do nothing to help this economy.

7. "... fix the state infrastructures..."
But, isn't that socialism?

You people never spot the gargantuan holes in your own flawed logic, do you?

Oh, and please explain to me what "real world jobs" are. They must not include anything having to do with manufacturing or IT, since we've seen 90% of that pissed away with outsourcing. So, since the meat has been picked off the bones of both the Industrial and Information Ages, what are we left with?

8. So, do you think education is a BS social program?
Do you think the opportunity for the children of poor to lower income families should be included in the stimulus? How do you feel about education as a priority?

What do you think about money going to jumpstart many green jobs? How do you feel about buying oil from unstable Middle Eastern economies?
