1. I too believe the question irrelevant in light of the Press Conference's purpose. . .

but the subject is important, and the opinion of the President critical, for many purposes, not least of which is convincing young people that steroid abuse should not be used as an avenue to an athletic career.

So the question needs to be addressed -- and addressed often enough so it penetrates the conscience of all young athletes -- but there's a time and place for everything and today's Presidential events were not the venue for that discussion.
