Tax Payers Already Footing Octumom's Bills
Taxpayers are already footing part of the bill for Nadya Suleman, mother of the recently born octuplets. She "receives at least $490 a month in food stamps, and three of her first six children are disabled and receiving federal benefits. Moreover, Kaiser Permanente's Bellflower Medical Center has asked California's health plan for the poor to cover the enormous cost of medical care for the eight premature infants in its care, according to multiple sources familiar with the case."

Note: One of the dangerous sides to multiple births--"three of her first six children are disabled." Two of the McCaughey septuplets born in 1997 have cerebral palsy.

The doctor who did these in vitro embryo implants sounds like a thorough sleeze.

2. we will be paying for her kids forever
Her spokesman said "In Nadya's view, the money that she gets from the food stamp program ... and the resources disabilities payments she gets for her three children are not welfare," he said. "They are part of programs designed to help people with need, and she does not see that as welfare."

so welfare is not a program designed to help people with need?

this woman is a piece of work. I waited until i could afford kids to have ONE. I cannot imagine there ever being a reason to want/need 14 kids. I believe she should invest some of her "non-welfare" into psychotherapy

3. In the big picture, it's not that much money
And it's not as though there is an epidemic of people doing this. Finally, it is not the kids' fault. They're here. Ideally they would be adopted but we know Nadya won't go along with that.

5. Diversion.
This is just to get everybody's mind off of the welfare corps and back on the welfare queens.

6. a BEVERLY HILLS IVF doctor?
How the F*CK does this woman get to be treated by a Beverly Hills IVF doctor? WHO was paying the bills for this -- or did he pay HER to use her uterus as a *testing ground* for his IVF theories?
