Can someone help me out re: next step in stimulous bill?
Because the House and Senate passed slightly different versions, I know they now have to negotiate more. But what's next? Does each chamber have to vote again for the final version? Or, once the negotiations are done, can it go directly to Obama's desk?

1. the bill goes to conference and then has to be passed by both houses again
before it can go to the president.

Generally speaking, if the House and Senate conferees can agree on language, the bill goes to both houses for a vote with no opportunity for amendment.
