Fun weather report from Northern New York

within the space of the last 3 minutes we had a sudden hailstorm with thunder lightning and the whole nine and within 30 seconds of it starting it stopped and now its sunny clear skies. I told my wife if she sees frogs or locusts we might have to convert back to christianity.

2. Weirdest one I ever saw

was one I was alerted to by a lightning strike on the utility pole in my back yard. When I went out and looked up, the cloud had shrunk to a little fuzz ball and was completely gone in 5 minutes.

Desert storms can be that weird, uh huh.

nearest desert is 3000 west or 10000 east of me.

I live in NE Kansas. I'm about halfway between KCK and Topeka. Just a few short weeks ago we had some weird weather too. At the same time my county was issued a winter storm warning, the county just east of us was issued a flash flooding warning and two counties over (again to the east) was in a tornado warning. It was a little bizarre to have that range of weather warnings within three contiguous counties simultaneously.

7. Deep in the heart of Texas

and we've had funnel clouds roaming overhead for the past few hours. Supposed heavy rainstorms predicted to last all day and into the night. If cats and dogs start falling from the sky, I'm getting out my net!
