I'm running out of places for my unemployment job search.
Four per week for eight weeks and I can't think of another place to go or send a resume to.

3. does it count if you send a resume back to the same place again...?
I mean, the number of possible job search options is finite just about everywhere, and you could always argue that you're resending in hopes that a new position might open up. It could happen.

Good luck!

8. NH requires a teacher's certificate
which means I'd have to take a course. Which is why I am going back to school.

31. what about a teacher's assistant
my friend is an assistant in preK and she is qualified as an engineer! you don't need a teaching cert for that. What about the local county council offices. EPA often need inspectors. In our state they are desperate for them.

7. Look here:
http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Companies/CompanySearch.aspx?sc_cmp2=JS_HOME_COMPNY_SRCH

it's a list of companies that have advertised on Career Builder and you should have no trouble finding lots of places to send a resume. I'm, guessing you are trying to satisfy the requirements for your unemployment compensation.

28. NH
I've been managing Mr Grays Laugh Program and did some PR and marketing which I don't like. I am going back to school to finish my degree. Had a meeting with an advisor and was recommended that I finish my art degree rather than go into counseling like I was thinking about. Glad I talked to this guy coz he made sense so that's what I'm aiming for...maybe end up teaching art.

In the meantime, I'd like to find something compatible with my goals for school.

29. Ever think about contacting some of those after-school tutoring
businesses and offering an art class? You may be able to get them to try it on a per hour per student basis. If no one signs up you won't make anything but it doesn't cost them anything to try. Or you could give private lessons or small group lessons while going to school.

Let's face it, no matter how bad things may be for someone there is always somebody worse off.

23. I had a job interview the other day from Craigslist
Decided not to take it because it was a forty mile trip one way and I'd have to drive over some tough roads at midnight. My eyes are not good in the dark.

So I keep checking craigslist. I found the house I'm house sitting for on craigslist.

26. It is, as far as I can tell, the only remaining source of real jobs left.
Monster, Jobdango, Career Builder, Dice, etc. are just collections of scams and resume collectors anymore.

20. I haven't been unemployed since Reagan
but all we had to do back then was just write down 4 places we applied for work. We would just take companies names out of the phone book or share our list with each other. Just about every employer's HR Department had a sign on their door "not taking applications".

27. They're better than Career Builders and Monster, IMO
Indeed hits more sources than those two combined. Way more. In fact, they even pull off of Career Builders. Other sources to check would be professional organizations related to your career field. Don't give up looking. I've been at it for almost two years now. Opening seem to come in spurts. But, I am sorry to say that you may have to put in dozens and dozens of applications before you even get an interview. The competition out there is brutal. I'll keep my fingers crossed for all of us.

33. How about USAJOBS?
Try this link. I don't know what city you're near, but maybe you could find something there? Perhaps we could have a fund drive to FREE THE DUCK!
