Venezuela replaces 45 mn incandescent bulbs

CARACAS: As part of its energy saving programme--"Energy Revolution Mission"--Venezuela has replaced more than 45 million incandescent light bulbs with white light thrifty bulbs since the launch of the programme four month back.

Since the beginning of the Mission, 3246 activists have replaced incandescent bulbs in 4,814,194 houses with white light thrifty bulbs, Venezuela's Energy and Oil ministry report said.

1. Smart folks, Venezuelas.

Other evidence: Although Venezuela uses electronic voting machines, the machines are run on open source code (unlike the "trade secret" code in our machines, owned and controlled by rightwing Bushite corporations). They also have a ballot backup and they hand-count FIFTY-FIVE PERCENT of the ballots, as a check on machine fraud. Know how much WE hand-count? If you don't, you'd better look into it.

We in the US seem to be the dim bulbs of the western hemisphere.
