http://blog.beliefnet.com/crunchycon/2009/02/sex-positive-week-at-georgetow.html

Below, the full advertisement for the SexPo week's upcoming events. What a disgrace to Georgetown, and a rebuke to any pretense that it has anything seriously to do with Roman Catholic moral teaching. The people pushing this garbage are the enemy, front and center. As outrageous as this is on its face, I do wonder what the university's president and trustees think about themselves and their mission. Do they really believe they are being remotely faithful to the school's mission by allowing a pornographer to give a presentation about open marriages on campus? A priest I know once told me that every priest should serve keeping front and center that one day, he will have to give an account to God of the souls of all those under his care. Do you think such a thought ever comes within a hundred miles of the minds of the clerics and laymen who have responsibility for Georgetown University and the formation of the minds and characters of the students who pass through there? Please.

I love how this guy also practically posted the full conference schedule, complete with dates, times, and locations.

The Religious Right has really twisted what religion/spirituality means.

9. The faith they preach
is the opposite of what I read in the bible.

A real Christian would never own a gun. My lord and his disciples went willingly to their deaths for their faith. They were beaten, robbed, tortured and killed. They lived in a society every bit as sinful as the one we live in now but didn't spend their time trying to tear down statues or force people into moral living. They lived good lives and let that speak as their testimony to the world.

6. The Jesuit community
on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, a long time ago, when I was a young lawyer working for the New Catholic Left with the Berrigans, had mandatory cocktail hours at the residence every day at 5 pm. The idea was to discourage the Soldiers Of Christ from hanging out in bars with women.

(The fact that alcoholism was a huge problem was not in the equation.)

So, the Jesuits, following orders and doing as they were told, showed up every day at the stroke of five. And they all brought dates.

I was one of the regulars. Man, those men knew how to party..............
