So here is what I think. I think that the last 8 years were worse and more damaging

than all but the most cynical of us could have possibly imagined. Just the teeny bit of news today - the crashing stock market, the destroyed CIA tapes, and the revealed Bush power grab memos - is what brought this to mind for me.

I think that Obama is very aware of this, and is one of the very few people who thinks big and wide enough and is bold enough to even begin the fixing process. But, the ineptitude, criminality and breathtaking incompetence (willful in some cases) of the cast of characters who misran the country for eight years is without equal.

What scares me more than anything is the relatively large number of people who won't, or can't, see this.

Sorry to state the obvious, but sitting in a Boston hotel room after a harrowing day of delayed flights and bad weather (isn't air travel fun these days?), watching the reruns of Keith and Rachel, it all just kind of hit me....

And I think we've seen only the tip of the iceberg of what actually went on!

Let's say republicons used a negative event to get policies of theirs accepted, like say allowing 9/11 to happen so they could invade Iraq, for example the policies of the PNAC and how they needed a catastrophic event similar to a Pearl Harbor event. What if they also allowed the economy to tank and fail and turn into this awful rotten egg that they then hand off to President Obama so they can make him fail miserably, make him the scapegoat, for example like Naomi Klein describes in her book "Disaster Capitalism". What if they do sick twisted things like this on purpose to use as a catastrophic event to bring about change...that only they get to benefit from.

Would it be possible for Obama to flip it on them and now use their own failures to the advantage of our own party? Make changes finally beneficial to the American population of poor and middle class. I mean I see things heading this way as far as all these big time failures rolling our way and the blame game pointing fingers at Obama, and the Rick Santelli staged event leads me to believe that they arent done fighting dirty. Could Obama use this game against them in way that we can finally excise this cancer from our midst and force real positive change on our world?

Could Obama be smart enough to use a new ninja political technique against the Dark Side?
