1. It starts with a P...
...and it ends with an "athetic."

3. I had to decide between "angry" and "dishonest," voted for the latter...
Both of those seem to be permanent conditions. But I also agree with Bicoastal. That may be the best description yet... x(

8. You're delusional.
Arch-villains always come back from defeat, in some form or another.

They will never, ever die. As long as there's a poor person to stomp on, a woman to be sexually harassed, a senior citizen to starve, or a child to deny medical care to, the Republican Party will always be alive.

6. Frustrated.
They can't deal with the fact that all their b.s. propaganda over the last eight years -- especially with respect to being the "real Americans" -- has brought them to the point of being the minority party.

I'm loving every minute of their sour grapes routine. It's a thing of beauty.

10. Hopeless
They are sunk. Mortally wounded.

Many of their leaders already know it. Those are the ones who are getting the most hate from the right-wingers.

13. A hard call. angry and conspiring is to the mark
K Street controls most politicians. But, the GOP is mostly in the control of the insurance, credit , pharmacy , and oil, gas industries. Those being the most monopolistic. Those industries being so very Republican and use that party to protect their privilege . That is why the GOP is conspiratorial and angry.. Angry. Because it is the party of the gun nuts and white privilege. Or alleged, white privilege, at least.

22. Anti-American
Edited on Tue Mar-03-09 07:17 AM by SpiralHawk
Today's Republicons base everything on the fear that overwhelms their psyches. They want Big Daddy Big Totalitarian Government, even though they make a show of false bravado saying that's exactly what they don't want. Just more of their hypocrisy, like claiming they are 'conservatives' when they are 'borrow-and-spend' radicals who trashed America's economy; like claiming to be 'Family Values' paragons of virtue, when they are prancing around in Diapers, and having sex with hookers andd strangers in public bathroom stalls; like claiming they are patriotic, then ASSUMING THE POSITION for a $38-million-a-year draft-dodging, drug-abusing corporate propagandist party 'leader.'

The Republicons are terrified by maturity and responsibility, and that is why they are out to take down America and Obama. Truely, Republicons are the Latter Day Pharisees.

25. I selected "Other" to reflect
all of the above, but to add the element of "dangerous".

There is no end to the stupidity and gullibility of these people. (See Nazi Germany. Sensible people in America and over the world laughed at Hitler for many years. But, with powerful, inflammatory rhetoric, he was able to insinuate himself into the soul of a nation.)

They know Obama is capable, knowledgeable and determined.

And that scares them. They've never seen all those three qualities together in a president since Clinton.

32. "Confused" nails it
Are you aware of how the word 'confused' is used to describe sea conditions? A 'confused sea' is one in which the waves come from every direction in a chaotic fashion. You'd find a confused sea near the eye of a hurricane. It is a horrible thing to be afloat in a confused sea because you can not point your bow into the waves to insure the safety of the craft, the venture, and the crew. There is no protection from a confused sea; there is no order to it and it is impossible to make way.

That is the condition of the Republican Party today.
