I'm Done With Internet Rightist Scum!
That's it. No more. I've had enough and I'm going cold turkey, this time for sure.

There is no point in having "discussions" with these people. They're stupid. They're pig headed. They're obnoxious. They're toxic. They lie. They're only interested in defending a half dozen or so ideological platitudes and anything goes for them. Of course they are masters at projecting their own dysfunction. The worst part of hanging out with them is that they're dragging me down with them. There's no point in hanging out with them and I have more functional things to do with my time.

Seeking truth only puts me at a disadvantage with these morans. Spotting their logical fallacies does no good whatsoever. These people are reprobates. They're dead enders. I don't think they have a chance in any forseeable future to weasel their way into national office, so, I now wash my hands of them.

Rightist moran pigs! Fuck em. <spits>

1. What do you have against rights?
I'm in favor of them. If that makes me a rightist, I'll wear the mantle with pride.

10. You haven't stated exactly who "these people" are
Edited on Wed Mar-04-09 10:15 AM by slackmaster
I'm applying sarcasm to point out and lampoon the vagueness of your post. "They" could be just about anyone.

12. You don't know exactly whom I refer to when I refer to them as "rightists"?
No one else here seems to have a problem. Maybe you need to lampoon yourself?

13. I know perfectly well who I consider to be rightists
Edited on Wed Mar-04-09 10:24 AM by slackmaster
But that may not be exactly the same set of people YOU regard as rightists.

I consider authoritarians of all stripes to be more dangerous than right-wing people in general. If you go far enough to the left or to the right, you end up in the same place. Or as a Chinese coworker of mine quipped, "A left jack boot up your ass feels no better than a right jack boot up your ass."

So, if you'd be so kind as to name names, someone stumbling on this thread without a familiarity with the climate at DU would have a much better idea what you are raving about.

No offense, but I don't really care whether you know "exactly the same set of people <I> regard as rightists."

On second thought, take offense. You're being obtuse, like a rightist. For all I know you're one of those lurking rightist "set of people" from that board. I wouldn't be surprised.

All you do is get dirty, and the pig likes it.

3. I gave up a long time ago
there is no reasoning with the truly brainwashed. All we can do is keep an eye on them and make sure to limit the political damage they do by not electing their hero's.

5. We were fooled a little bit with GWB.
I wasn't fooled enough to vote for him, but I was fooled enough to give him a chance.

Never again.

4. Uh...duh.
Yeah, don't give them the time of day. Why should you?

In this country everyone has a right to be heard. That's not the same thing as saying that everyone has a right to be believed. Unfortunately we've forgotten that. For some reason, we started listening to marginally functional fringe jackasses, and gave them the attention they craved. Now they won't go away. It's like leaving a bowl of food out for opossums and raccoons - you end up with a shitload of them in your yard that start ripping up your trash.

6. I suffered the delusion that interacting with them was a useful activity
It was that idea that getting information from a broad range of sources was salutary, and I felt it was better than listening to radio hacks like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, or any of the other morans whom I cannot listen to for more than a minute or two.

But you're correct. They've actually gotten progressively more obnoxious over the past two election cycles. There are maybe a half dozen or so of us liberals on the board. They pretty much share my sentiments, so it's not just me.

It's funny how "conservatives" tend to dominate those boards. They will come to liberals. Some of them even lurk here, probably more than they post on their board. But it's very difficult to get liberals to talk to them. You would think they would be less sociopathic, or just go to Free Republic or something. But they aren't.

Is this why liberals don't interact with them? I suspect it is. It is why I don't want to deal them right now.

7. I did the same for quite some time
but I got a great deal of personal satisfaction from always being right in what I said and what I predicted would happen - and slapping them down with the truth of the matters via documented evidence. However, one is reminded of the Family guy episode when he Griffiths move to Texas temporarily and Peter (or Brian?) is arguing with the donkey (ass) who is adamantly denying that Kevin Bacon was in Footloose. Funny stuff. Try to just laugh it off. There is a huge "separation" going on that is so obvious - the people that get it and work towards the good and progress and the ones who don't, and never will.

arguing with a guy who worked for minimum wage who wanted to end Social Security. His mother was on Social Security and when I asked him how his mother would be able to survive without Social Security, he replied he would take care of her. I couldn't take it anymore and don't bother wasting my time with throw backs to Homo Erecti who have access to a computer. Actually, Homo Erecti were probably smarter than the average Freeper.

14. The Bush era winger is typically a psychopath with severely impacted bowels.
No reasonong with them. Nevertheless, there is a certain pleasure in having fun at their expense. I haven't done it in a long while, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. You can feel like Bruce Lee flattening a small army.

16. Whatever pleasure I derived is long gone.
They're nothing but a downer for me. You can cut the pall enshrouding them with a butterknife.

I hope they erode their base into oblivion.
