How many think the Brits will attack Iran?

Iran has 15 British sailors and marines. Tony Blair has warned Iran that the situation will escalate if the sailors and marines are not released. Does this mean British forces could use force to rescue the 15 people? Could this also draw in U.S. forces as well? Either way, there are itchy triggers on both sides of this pending conflict. I am convinced if a confrontation comes to this over the 14 British servicemen and 1 servicewoman, it could be the start of a wider war between the U.S., U.K., and Iran. If the guns go off, there will be no stopping them. Bush wants this, Ahmednijad wants it, and I am certain Blair wants it.

3. Britain could use the RAF.

Send in a squadron or two for some air strikes. No doubt the USAF would join in as well. It's not looking good either way this comes out.

It would be affective on the Persian Gulf but useless on the Caspian Sea. Can't do much there.

Blair's on his way out, largely due to Iraq, Bush is running out of support, largely due to Iraq, and Ahmednejad is a powerless blowhard, largely given foreign press time, but of little consequence at home.

Previously they had denied visitation by members of the UK interest section. I would not expect them to want to have all of them in one place.
