I think there's another segment coming up.

This is about the Border Patrol agents who went to prison for shooting on an unarmed drug smuggler. The lies which Lou has been carrying non-stop are finally being debunked.

4. Is that the same US Attorney who covered up the republican sex scandal?
There was a thread here yesterday that mentioned the USA who prosecuted the BP agents also covered up republicans forcing teenage boys to have sex.

23. Sutton and Gonzales tried to cover up a Texas Rangers report
detailing administrators and guards forcing teenage boys to engage in sex acts at a Texas Youth Commission facility. Sutton has also been known to be uncooperative with the DEA involving drug cases. There have been posts about Sutton here on DU.

25. I suspect DUers have a problem with people who support
violent criminals who happen to be in law enforcement. I don't think anybody gives a crap about the messengers.

Well, I guess some do. But those are the ones who support the violent criminals who happen to be in law enforcement.

6. Dang! We flipped to a different network when this story was
coming up because we're so tired of hearing Lou's moaning about it.....and wouldn't you know. Well, I can pick him up again later if I awaken during the night! At least there will be something on that I want to see! Thanks.

SUTTON: These cases -- well, I don't know. The letter was sent to Homeland Security. But I can tell you that this case originated like any other case that we try in El Paso.

We try 5,000 felonies in our district. We lead the nation in drug prosecutions. We prosecute these smugglers every day. That's what we do every day. And all Agent Compean had to do was put the handcuffs on Aldrete, and that guy would be sitting in prison...

DOBBS: That's what he was trying to do, wasn't he?

SUTTON: No, it wasn't what he was trying to do. What the jury heard is that Agent Compean, instead of arresting a guy whose hands are in the air -- everybody agrees he had no weapon, he was -- hands were in the air. And instead of putting the handcuffs on him, he decides to hit him in the head with a shotgun. He does a prat fall into the ditch. And now the smuggler is free to take off running, which he does. And then they open fire on him with 15 shots. And instead of explaining why they did it, instead of explaining why they used deadly force, they covered it up, they lied about it, and they filed a false report. That is a huge problem.

Did you see anyone, including the OP, argue that the victim in the shooting was a good guy? Just because he's a suspected and now confirmed smuggler does NOT mean it is ok to just open fire on the guy and then cover it up. The agents knew that; that's WHY they covered it up.

As for the crack about "someone has to bring the weed in for you folks right?!!", this is just beneath comment. Hell, I would have thought it was beneath DU'ers.
