Rove On Testimony: Democrats "Would Love To Have Me Barbecued"

In an interview with Fox News, former White House adviser Karl Rove said he expected to be devoured by Democrats when he testifies before the House Judiciary Committee.

Speaking of former Bush aides Harriet Miers and Josh Bolten, Rove said,"I understand they may be the hors d'oeuvres, but I'm the main course. Some Democrats would love to have me barbecued." Rove and Miers have both agreed to testify.

Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) issued the following statement when the agreement was reached:

"I have long said that I would see this matter through to the end and am encouraged that we have finally broken through the Bush Administration's claims of absolute immunity. This is a victory for the separation of powers and congressional oversight. It is also a vindication of the search for truth. I am determined to have it known whether U.S. Attorneys in the Department of Justice were fired for political reasons, and if so, by whom."

I want you behind bars for the rest of your life and rebuffed by everyone. I want you to live with the knowledge that everyone knows your a criminal against humanity. I want your former bosses to reject you in their attempt to distance you just to save their own asses. I want George Bush himself to testify against you in his attempt to save his own ass.
