what does the bible say about that?

I had an arm, but paid it off last year, btw.

went up two points the first year, then again the second. fifty percent increase, just about. that's when I paid up.

31. Much worse for the lenders - or whoever's left holding the bag...
... which includes the borrower, of course. But these day's it's typically NOT the loan originator who owns the ARM by the time the borrower defaults. There's a huge finance field called Mortgage Backed Securities, with people (starting with loan originators) buying and selling loans in batches. This is the fundamental problem that led to what you're seeing in the news today: the loan originator doesn't have a vested interest in making good loans, since he's just gonna turn around and sell it anyway. It's just a really expensive musical chairs game, as it were.

to another, without your prior knowledge/assent?

don't these guys get bailed out, too?

if not, won't they, if it gets big enough, ala S and L scandal?

36. Sorta. They're traded on Wall St & in trading houses around the country...
... just like stocks and other securities (hence their name). Keep in mind - they're sold en masse - by the hundreds or thousands - by loan type, typically (30yr fixed, 5/1 hybrid arm, etc.). In general, there's no telling who'll have the rights to a given note one day to the next. The traders on my floor spend all day guaranteeing that. LOL!

I don't know about his frame, though. Rollins' is much more similar than Bale's. that's quibbling over silliness, I know, but, hey.

If I had a life, I'd be living it offline.

Ahhhnold is too old for the role.

I saw him on a "Come to California" commercial last night and he looked so Frankensteinish that I couldn't believe they were using him. I felt like "NOOOOO! I don't want to go to California if that creature is there!!"

It's like his head has been shrunken; too many face lifts, I think. Plus the steroids.
