as "author, hero."

That's not very many to greet the conquering hero who is going to use his hammer to destroy Democrats.

Tom DeLay returns to Texas as author, hero

Leader Tom DeLay returned to his hometown of Sugar Land today a newly published author. More than 100 supporters applauded DeLay's arrival today for a book signing. His 179-page book, "No Retreat, No Surrender" was released about 10 days ago.

DeLay resigned last year after 22 years in Congress and faces state money laundering and conspiracy charges. He's accused of using an arm of the Republican National Committee to illegally funnel corporate contributions to seven G-O-P state legislative candidates.

The conservative icon told the audience that his decision to leave Congress was "the right decision."

Since then, he said, he has been plotting the Democrats' downfall as an outsider "researching the opposition and researching the needs of the conservative movement."

And read about Dood Abides great satire..Mein Hammer.

Mein Hammer

DeLay, in his book, associates Democrats whom he feels unfairly persecuted him, with the likes of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Embroiled in controversy over ever-expanding bribery investigations, DeLay resigned in disgrace last year, and is still awaiting trial in Texas. "The Hammer" is the nickname given to Delay who was largely credited with ruthlessly ruling the Republican Party with an iron fist and succeeded in keeping the party lockstep in line with President George W. Bush over the last six years.

"I think people will really enjoy the musical," stated DeLay. "We've called upon some pretty talented people within the Republican Party, and I think it will present another side of me and other leaders that folks didn't know existed.

More Dood stuff here.

9. Good point. If DeLay wants to raise maximum dollars from jillionaires...
He should switch to soggy cigarettes.

Hey look!
He's getting ready for a big fundraiser! ==>

5. Yep, his book's been out almost 2 weeks and sales stink!
I checked Amazon last night, and sales wereway down in the 1,400 on the popularity list.

I took the time to read most of the 32 comments. I believe there were 3 positive ones, and all the rest were at 1star and rated this book BAD!

7. another book suitable for use as fire starter in the BBQ
I can't imagine a better use for anything he would write. Buy several, when they becomes remaindered and keep them for heating during the coming peak oil crisis.
