1. He was as scrambly as a poodle on a linoleum floor - Steph Miller
He was beyond bad. All he had was making lame remarks about Dems. He attacked Byrd, Reid, Pelosi - all personal shtick that was pathetic.

All I can figure is that Jon and Miller go way back and The Daily Show gave him a sympathy booking.

Jon - I can't believe you had that asswipe on the show.

2. Miller seemed frantic and desperate.
I ended up pressing "mute" on my remote till the interview was over---it was that bad!

4. I'll watch it.
TDS is a lot more than just whichever guest is on, y'know.

6. Agreed....but,
I'll admit I did some channel surfing until I thought it was over. It was just way too painful to watch. One gets the feeling that he's trying too hard, kinda sad really. I wish Mr. Miller all the luck in his new endeavor, if tonight's performance is any indication, he's gonna need it.

9. I've had the feeling he was "trying too hard" for years now.
I watched one football game during his brief stint
as a commentator, and that's EXACTLY the phrase I
used to sum it up.

His actions in the years since really have convinced
me that he really -IS- a sad case.

He's shallow, superficial, and pathetically needy.
It's as though he's desperately afraid that he
doesn't actually exist unless someone is hearing
his voice.

Wanna know why he went over to the Dark side?
Because they paid attention to him.

It's really just that simple.

5. I muted it and walked away and never heard the rest of the program.
There is just so much a person can handle after a day of layered scandals and all the developments and stupid comments about the votes.

7. Well, he may be boring, but at least he's still resolutely unfunny

10. I wouldn't judge the show by the guests. more often than not, that's the weakest part.
the beginning was very funny, which it usually is. I wish he'd do more politics and less skit/shtick

11. Dennis Miller was no worse than I would have exspected
Jon Stewart enabled his lame pseudo-intellectual fascist non humor by laughing with it and stetting up the props that ridiculed Nancy Pelosi and Robert Byrd. It was the humor of the playground bully and I thought Stewart was above that.

12. No...Miller was the weakest part. The rest was OK--not the best but
better than most shows on TV and the night before was classic and I bet tonight will be, too.
