Hillary Clinton 'Visits' South Park tonight
Edited on Wed Mar-28-07 07:43 AM by no_to_war_economy
the March 28 episode of the culturally satirical cartoon "South Park" is called "The Snuke" and involves a "24" parody where Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton visits the cartoon town of South Park, Colo., for a campaign rally. Ubiquitous entertainment reporter Nikki Finke at Deadline Hollywood describes the ep:

Mixing it up with those foul-mouthed brats this Wednesday, Hillary is in town for a big campaign rally. But Cartman suspects the new Muslim student is behind a terrorist threat. The clock is ticking as the citizens of South Park prepare for the Clinton rally. Every minute counts as Cartman uses his own methods to interrogate the suspect. But could the plan to target Clinton be just the tip of the iceberg? Comedy Central's website messsage board had this to say about upcoming episode: "Is there nowhere she won't campaign?"

1. Considering the politics of the South Park guys
I don't think this will be flattering. On the other hand, if you can't laugh at unflattering, deceitful, bullshit portrayals of yourself in the media, you should get a sense of humor.

2. "Is there nowhere she won't campaign?"
Um, isn't that a GOOD thing? Should a candidate only appear in states with the most electoral votes? Seems silly to criticize her for trying to speak to too many people.

3. Will She Continue The Conversation?
She and I have been having a conversation for some months now. Every day or so I get a nice email telling me about it. Sometimes I have a guest conversation with her husband, or with other corporatist luminaries.

I only hope that everyone here at DU has the same chance to have a conversation with Mrs. Clinton.

4. I wouldn't be surprised if they made Barack Obama the terrorist in this episode.
