GOP Straw Man: "The military must be allowed to operate 'unencumbered' by a deadline."

Well, here's a newsflash for the GOP Reichtards: the boots on the ground have absolutely nothing to say OR DO about strategic timelines and deadlines. It's not the troops who're held to account for those deadlines and timelines - it's the command level, including the Commander in Chief, who are ALWAYS responsible for achieving defined strategic goals within a reasonable time. The illegal occupation of Iraq has gone on for nearly four years without having achieved a single strategic schedule proclaimed by the criminals in the Cheney/Bush administration, despite wholesale replacements of senior command personnel.

Tens of thousands of military personnel have repeatedly been promised 'deadlines' for the completion of their combat deployments only to have those promises broken. Tens of thousands of military personnel and their families have born the burden of this administration's repeated broken promises of 'Mission Accomplished' and it's long past time for that encumbrance to be born by the criminals in the administration instead.

It's long, long past time that the People keep a commitment to the "boots on the ground" and fulfill a promise to bring them home. It's not THEIR failure, it's the failure of the criminals in the Offal Orifice, aided and abetted by a cowardly Congress and a craven citizenry!
