3. It's headed in the right direction.
Pretty soon it'll vanish all together.

4. I got one as a birthday gift. The gizmo is fine. I love it, but I hate having to deal with
iTunes. Gaaaaaaaaaah!

5. I've been using iTunes from day one. I guess I am used to it.
BTW, their Safari 4 Beta1 is pretty good. I like the new history features.

19. There are iTunes replacements..
I wouldn't put iTunes on my computer when my daughter gave me her old iPod that looks like a stick of gum on a rope necklace, found a freeware clone in about thirty seconds of googling.

7. Then, we'll have to toggle something to it 10 times the size....
just so we don't loose it. Like cell phones, there is a threshold beneath which, smaller is not always better.

9. Use it as a tie clip. Clip to your clothes, but be sure to remove it before
you throw your clothes into the laundry.

8. Jobs! Stop marketing exclusively to the 13-30 yr. old crowd!

I'm your age Steve and us old farts need
larger buttons we can see!

Didn't you watch the second to last episode of 'Boston Legal'
where they covered this

'ignoring the Boomer demographic in marketing' trend?

Sheesh!

10. Actually, it only has one button.
Well, three, but still. There's a single interface button on the headphone cord, with small buttons immediately above and below the big one for volume. You can, and have to, operate it entirely by feel.

One click is pause/play. Two clicks is fast forward. Three clicks is rewind. Hold the button and it will speak the name of the current song. Hold the button longer and it will speak the name of the playlist. Then click it and it will cycle through the playlists.

Confusing? Sure, at first. But it's about the most accessible design I've ever seen, too.

as long as it's user friendly for all of us.

Thanks.

13. That's the iPod touch, or the classic. If I was still a runner, the shuffle
would be nice. Actually, moving the controls to the earphone cord is fine for us old farts. Look at the video.

BTW, that younger demographic has always been the target. That never changes.

11. My only problem with it is that you must use the tinny, awful iPod headphones that come with it,
since that is where the controls for it are. If you want to use your own headphones, you have to buy a separate remote, which will probably end up costing nearly as much as the Shuffle does.

15. That's a down side. The shuffle is not designed for the
audiophile. I wouldn't get it because of being restricted to in ear buds. They drive me crazy. If I got an iPod, it would be the touch.

I'm still happy with my 4GB Creative Zen, so I'll be sticking with that until it dies.

18. I like the fact that you can surf the web with the touch.
things like the touch and iPhone could be the future of mobile computing and gaming.
