Minister admits Afghanistan troop attack
http://www.thinkspain.com/news-spain/12865

Defence minister, José Antonio Alonso, admitted today that there is a "notable level of insecurity" in Afghanistan at the moment and revealed that a Spanish convoy experienced "a significant incident" on the 15th March, when a device being carried by two men on a motorbike exploded 200 metres from their position.

Mr Alonso was being questioned by the House of Congress Defence Commission about the situation of the Spanish troops deployed in Afghanistan, and the death of Idoia Rodríguez, who died on the 21st February, when a landmine exploded underneath the armoured vehicle she was driving.
