32. On the hot seat: Brian D. Miller, Inspector General, GSA
Edited on Wed Mar-28-07 01:36 PM by BuyingThyme
WASHINGTON, Aug. 9, 2005

/PRNewswire/ -- U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Administrator Stephen A. Perry today announced the appointment of Brian D. Miller as GSA Inspector General (IG). Mr. Miller was nominated by President George W. Bush last fall and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 22, 2005. In his new role, Mr. Miller will be responsible for directing the nationwide audit, investigative, and oversight operations of the GSA Office of Inspector General (OIG).

...

Mr. Miller has served in a variety of senior-level positions in the federal government for nearly two decades. For more than three years, Mr. Miller served as the Counsel to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Paul J. McNulty. As part of the leadership team, he participated in senior management and major prosecutorial decisions and in the establishment of office initiatives and priorities.

...

GSA is a centralized, federal procurement, property management, policy development and information provision agency, created by Congress to improve government efficiency and help federal agencies better serve the public. In this role, GSA acquires products and services on behalf of federal agencies; plays a key role in developing and implementing government-wide policies; provides services and solutions for the office operations of more than one million federal workers; and encourages a citizen-centric relationship with government by providing a single "point of entry" to the information and services citizens need in a timeframe they can appreciate. This allows citizens to receive accurate, timely and consistent answers and information, and helps federal agencies better respond to citizen inquiries.

responsible for $56,000,000,000.00-which may or may not be available, parceled out to contractors that sub-contract to sub-contractors...it's clear that Doan is a liar and that she's opened up many other investigations that have been thwarted for POLITICAL reasons whereas Miller has done his job exclusive of the POLITICAL pressures and influences-I might be wrong about some of this, yet Doan is a lying criminal.

72. Davis suggested Jennings might be exempt from the Hatch
Act? Could be why he is pushing responsibility for the presentation to the WH.

79. I am NOT getting where Mica is going at all.
Talking about Doan and that she was afraid of getting a failing score. Huh??? So what she did is suppose to therefore be justifiied? This makes NO sense.

90. I really love the way that Miller keeps expressing surprise
that Doan lied to his investigators. He is totally making himself look innocent by emphasizing that he expected to find nothing in the investigations - but Doan lied to him. and so he was FORCED to follow up. He had no choice - it's a great posture for him to take, because it is both true and unimpeachable.
