/PRNewswire/ -- U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Administrator Stephen A. Perry today announced the appointment of Brian D. Miller as GSA Inspector General (IG). Mr. Miller was nominated by President George W. Bush last fall and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 22, 2005. In his new role, Mr. Miller will be responsible for directing the nationwide audit, investigative, and oversight operations of the GSA Office of Inspector General (OIG).

Mr. Miller has served in a variety of senior-level positions in the federal government for nearly two decades. For more than three years, Mr. Miller served as the Counsel to the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Paul J. McNulty. As part of the leadership team, he participated in senior management and major prosecutorial decisions and in the establishment of office initiatives and priorities.
