Sen. Inhofe Trying to Freeze Out Al Gore's "Live Earth" Concert
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) has finally gone too far. His words and votes against global warming have been annoying, but now he is vowing to use parliamentary procedure to personally block Al Gore's "Live Earth" concert from using the U.S. Capitol building as a venue as planned.

Just last week Inhofe sparked headlines when he tried to bully Gore during a recent hearing, only to be completely humiliated by Sen. Barbara Boxer. Boxer pointed out that she had assumed control over the committee from him following the recent Democratic victories, and that he no longer got to dictate the rules. "Elections have consequences," she said.

The real irony in Inhofe's behavior is that it is completely hypocritical of his stance against global warming. Without presenting any real science of his own, Inhofe has mostly just whined that those who deny people are impacting the environment are being ignored and even blacklisted.

Inhofe went so far as to liken those who believe in global warming to Adolf Hitler and his "big lie" propaganda technique....

2. I'm beginning to understand why Oklahoma is flat...
Clearly the Earth in Inhofe's world is flat.

8. I live in Oklahoma
It's not that flat, but then I'm originally from Kansas. That's pancake-land there so I'm amazed by any state with even mild variation in elevation as well as any state that has trees less than 20 feet apart from each other.

3. Inhofe ought to have been given more nutritious food as an infant, ought
not to have locked into a basement for the first decade of his life, ought to masturbate more and pontificate less. He's a crank, a know-nothing, and an obstacle to discourse.

Al Gore stands mighty tall next to his detractors, and especially THIS detractor.

6. I liken Inhofe to the sadistic inquisitors...
who burned people at the stake for saying things like the earth is round. He's definitely one of the most if not THE MOST ignorant and stupid people in Congress, and he's got a lot of competition there.

13. The War On Iraq is the definitive
"Big Lie propaganda technique...."

The fascists always try to throw back what they are guilty of as charged.

Sometime during the "Live Earth" concert on the Capitol Steps..someone should give a shout out to inHOfe and let him know we're American citizens and he can take his bullshit "hitler propaganda" and shove it up his bushhole.

I'm sure the shouter would be much more polite than I.

20. Both. He denies global warming exists.
Both big oil and coal have been lobbying politicians for a looonnng time to spread disinformation campaigns. Ihofe has taken the lead promoting much of this disinfo.
