Scummy Republican telephone push-polling company faces extinction in court next week
Indiana DUers who live in that state's 9th Congressional District might be familiar with a notorious Bob (sponsor of the SmearVets) Perry-funded automated robocall which harrassed Indiana households this past fall prior to the election. Perry's "Economic Freedom Fund" hired a Virgina push-polling company called "freeEats.com" to spam the 9th Congressional District with robocalls smearing Democratic candidate (and now, Democratic representative) Baron Hill, for the benefit of now-kicked-out Republican sleazeball, Mike Sodrel.

Excerpt from the robocalls: "Baron Hill voted to allow the sale of a broad range of violent and sexually explicit material to minors. Does knowing this make you less likely for Baron Hill?"

To make a long story shorter, the Indiana attorney general Steve Carter sued the Economic Freedom Fund this past September, stopping the robocalls; the calls violated Indiana's do-not-call law. The freeEats.com firm, who made the robocalls, realized that it's out of a job if these state laws exist, and filed suit against the Indiana attorney general, claiming that the state's do-not-call law violates freedom of speech.

freeEats.com lost their lawsuit against the Indiana AG in October, and next week, on April 3rd, they will have their appeal in federal appeals court. Should they lose the appeal, hopefully this could be the final nail in the coffin for all the other bottom-feeding Republican robocall companies in the country.

Here's some info on the original robocalls, as reported by AP:
