Look at the number of views here compared to number of replies.

Boy, there must be a lot of people just browsing in here. It's a huge percentage compared to responders.

Makes you wonder how many people are reading this site huh? And even more important, where they may be from.

Wonder why they don't post.

i make mistakes in grammar or typing and some jump all over me for that. the school teachers are always out.

I did a lesson today on adjective word order in Englisch. I'm now ashamed to think of HOW LOUDLY I COMPLAINED about the endings of adjectives in Deutsch... :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Before I joined and started posting. I read a lot at work to catch the news on lunch and such but I have only recently stated replying to post from work. Thus I still have less that 100 post.

mainly because damn near everytime I've read through a thread I find anything I have to say has already been said.

And those rare times I do put thought into a reply, it goes ignored. So I lurk here and LBN for my info, post a rare reply, but stick around the Lounge.

though. I'm not home during the day and just going to DU "Greatest" catches me up on the daily hottest news.

DU is perfect for sorting truth from fiction, and if I'm confused or unclear about what is going on with some news (i.e. Valerie Plame) then I come here to get educated.

I have been reading this board for about two years. I bumped into the site when I got layed off from my last job- they had me doing some trivial work in my remaining days. I was surfing the web- found a site called "bored.com". They linked to this site. I have coming here and reading all of the amazing posts. (I think that I have become addicted) Anyways, I have never been much of a writer so I post occasionally.

Just about everywhere I've been online, the lurker to poster ratio is probably about 10:1.

I tend to mostly urk in GD, but I occasionally post when I'm inspired to do so. :hi:

Most people post to argue with you, if you don't leave anything for them to argue with they mostly don't reply.

I post quite a bit over at Salon.com in their letters section. There was an Israel Palestine flame war going on a few days ago and I tossed a hand grenade into the discussion and got *zero* replies...

I said that the Israelis wanted the Palestinians land, that Israel looked like an apartheid state to me and that both Yitzhak Shamir and Menachem Begin were leaders of terrorist organizations.

Not a freakin' peep from either side..
