My silly-ass'd idea on how to determine if AIG employees deserve bonus's
March them one by one before a tribunal of 12 people.....12 normal every day American people. 12 Middle class American people. Let each one of them explain to these 12 average Americans WHY they deserve a bonus. If, after this explanation, the 12 Americans determine that the bonus should be paid, so be it. If not, the AIG employee must STFU and EARN their next bonus.

1. One simple question
"What did you make?"

I mean, for all this fabulous money, they must have created something pretty gosh darn impressive. At the end of an auto assembly line, there's a shiny new car, for example. What did they make for all this money they want to be paid?

3. I love Thom Hartmans take on Money and Wealth.
Real wealth doesn't exist until somebody makes something. A "service economy" is an oxymoron – if I wash your car in exchange for your mowing my lawn, money is moving around, it's a service economy, but no real and lasting wealth is created. Only through manufacturing, when $5 worth of iron ore is converted into a $2000 car door, or $1 worth of raw wool is converted into a $1000 Calvin Klein suit, is real wealth created.

There is no wealth/money being created by these charlatans. Just moving money around.

5. Services do create "real and lasting wealth"
The mechanic who fixes your car and changes its vital fluids keeps that car that you consider to be "real and lasting" operating in top condition, assuring a long life. Unless you want to toss it in the scrap heap after about 25,000 to 30,000 miles or so.

What makes a dollar's worth of raw material go for a grand when it's in a Calvin Klein suit? Sales, marketing, and shipping. Teachers educating students to prepare them for jobs, whether in being bank tellers, or doing "real" work down at the factory, all provide lasting value.

Agriculture, manufacturing, and mining all produce useful things. Marketing, transportation, and financing keep them from just sitting in piles at the farm, the factory, and the mine.

That said, the assclowns at PIG simply created the artificial "wealth" that a gambling casino generates. Maybe that's not fair to casinos, at least they provide stage shows and watered down drinks to amuse people.

2. Don't even bother to do that
Just publish the names and home addresses of all the AIG employees who received bonuses and the amount of the bonus that each one got. Run it in TV a few times and post it on the DOJ website. I predict these bonuses will all be repaid to the government within a few days.

4. Most of these charlatans live in gated communities....
it would be very hard to march in front of their homes in protest.
