This post has not one iota to do with Obama. It is much bigger than that.

4. "Sweaty"
One time when I was on the road, I was chatting with Sparkly and mistyped "sweaty" for "sweety".

That was years and years ago. We still laugh about it.

Just coming to the conclusion that the majority of people are too damned dense or infantile to bother with trying to save.

Then, some young person will go and give me hope. Damn them :P

(Don't get me wrong - at the last economic summit, my bros hung a large black banner with the helpful suggestion "LET THE EMPIRE FALL", but other than that, I got nothin.)

14. "how?"
Just do nothing.

Take a vacation.

In six months it will all be over.

We'll be living in a Mad Max world

Geezers like me will be the first to get killed for food.

Relief.

Or not.

19. Two years before the Visigoths stormed the city?
You know that more than half of the Romans turned out in the streets to greet the VGs as liberators, don't you?

...And they weren't wrong either. Alaric granted them protection. The others? Not so much.

21. they didn't have a clue, at least most didn't
US citizens have no clue...

By the way, we are stuck (part of the problem) in the 14th century, how the fuck we went from the Enlightenment to that religious insanity will be for some historian (Perhaps a descendant of CATO) to decide

And yes, a few in Rome knew... even before 409 rolled around... but most... didn't
