Katrina - What went right.
If you will recall, Gretna was the town which forced Katrina survivors at gunpoint to turn around and return to New Orleans. This is a Private Military Contractor that aided the city of Gretna in those efforts. Executive Protection Institute promotes this moment as a highlight in the companies achievements. Police state? Unquestionably. Government + Corporations = Fascism This article is from the PMC's website titled Katrina - What went right

http://www.personalprotection.com/katrina.cfm

The Katrina Hurricane disaster is the foremost example of what it means to be a member of the Nine Lives Associates Family.

When Katrina struck the New Orleans area it also caused extreme wind and water damage to Gretna Louisiana, an immediate neighboring city. The Executive Protection Institute maintains an office in Gretna under the Director of Operations Anthony H. Christiana, Jr., a Major with the Gretna Police Department. The N.L.A. has a strong membership in Gretna, New Orleans, Jefferson Parish and vicinity.

A call for assistance was posted on the “Nine Lives Associates Members Only ” on-line message board. The response was magnificent and one of the “finest hour” memories of the 29 year old association.

Dozens of N.L.A. members volunteered their time for weeks of service traveling at their own expense to Louisiana. All had been trained by the Executive Protection Institute. The N.L.A. volunteers were sworn in as armed officers of the Gretna Police Department and served in various assignments. They assisted the regular police force in patrol, fixed posts, protecting property and providing personal protection for officials and other emergency personnel.

2. Don't you love how the Bush admin response was to treat recovery like a military operation?
It went just as well as the Iraq War.
