Channel 5 in ATL just did a great report on the sleazy operators
calling people over and over again on their cell phones trying to sell you warranty extension for your vehicles. I just caught the end of it, but the report was trashing the jerk running the operation!
Hopefully stuff like this will get appropriate attention and put these assholes out of business.
1. These assholes have called my office phone 2-3 times a week
for more than 3 years now... The past couple of months, my personal cell phone has started getting them as well. Virtually no one has this number.
They offered me an warranty extension for a car that I don't even own. I don't even own a car. So I reseached the company and it's obvious by the google seach results that it was a fraud.
they are violating the DoNotCall laws in a few ways. The report had a former 'agent' on and he admitted that when you 'press 2 to be taken off the list' that it does nothing...
9. Somebody here did a OP identifying one of these companies.
I looked up the listed corporation at sunbiz.org and identified that teh corporate officer lived here in Orlando.
There used to be a boiler room doing calls down town Orlando on Colonial drive selling these "insurance" plans but something happened and it went away.
