DEA raids SF cannabis clinic.......(I thought this was going to stop)
(pardon if this is a repost)

SAN FRANCICSO (KRON) – Officials with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) say they’ve confiscated bags of marijuana from Emmalyn’s California Cannabis Clinic in San Francisco.

Authorities tell KRON 4’s Terisa Estacio that around 4 p.m. Wednesday a dozen agents stormed into the clinic, located at 1591 Howard at 12th Street.

Just last week, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said federal agents would not go after marijuana distributors unless they violated both federal and state laws

In a statement, DEA Special Agent in Charge Anthony D. Williams said that based on an ongoing investigation they believe the clinic violated federal and state law.

As agents gathered items from Emmalyn’s, Terisa said a small crowd gathered in front and chanted for the DEA to go away.

I'd like to hear the DEA's (and Holder's and Obama's) reasons that THIS CLINIC was raided. If it broke both state and federal laws, where was the State Police?

1. seems like
the major reason they were going after this particular dispensary is because they were GIVING IT AWAY to poor people! giving it away = no tax revenue, there ya go. perhaps the state gave them the go-ahead because of that?

3. I read about this..
and it has to do with California Law. Seems that the law is very strict. They don't make it easy. Don't know who/why the DEA was called in, and the State couldn't deal with it themselves.

7. Exactly. If they could at least decriminalize small amounts of marijuana, the illustrious
DEA could focus their efforts on ridding us of cocaine and meth amphetamines as well as get otherwise "good people" out of jail for mere possession. :(

8. This might be the DEA's little way of saying......
"F-You!!!!" to the President and Attorney General.

The DEA existed before Obama's Administration and will still be there when they're gone. They aren't about to give up one of their biggest cash cows just because the POTUS & AG have some silly ideals and compassion.

9. I'm sure Holder will address this as soon as "he knows what he's talking about"
Give it a day or two at least. There seems to be lots of confusion already and the raid is only about 20 hours old.

IMO if this is really just a tax issue, the DEA should not have been involved at all. The DEA should be going after real drug dealers and manufacturers.

10. It seems Obama is letting slide these agencies that are still Bush Goose Stepping
DEA should be banned from interferring with any state that has marijuana laws different from federal law. If they were really doing their jobs, they'd be putting a stop to the likes of Rush and his prescription pill addiction.

It's pills the kids are getting high on during school, and they're getting them from the home medicine cabinet.

11. What about my fucking States Rights?
WE voted on this! it is LEGAL here. The federal government needs to leave the clinics alone and do something of some fucking importance.

WTF HOLDER???

12. Why does the DEA bust pot at all?
Why do any law enforcement agencies concentrate on pot to the detriment of enforcement on any other drug?

Because pot is the easiest drug to bust and drug enforcement agents are LAZY ASSED BASTARDS, that's why.
