Why do all op-eds on the education by mainstream pundits sound alike?
Edited on Mon Mar-30-09 12:44 AM by ArchieStone1
Today it's the turn of the Washington Post, via Fred Hiatt. He basically repeats what Cohen, Kristof and every mainstream columnist always say:

Michelle Rhee is great.
Charter schools are great.
Merit Pay is great.
Teacher unions are evil.

That's it.

4. The fast answer is....
none of those pundits ever faced 5 classes of HS sophomores a day for 20 years or so. They should try it.

After that amount of time in combat, those pundits (actually, the surviving pundits) would write a very different story.

7. The Goldberg-Lopez fiasco might help explain it ...
... http://www.sadlyno.com/archives/19021.html

The gist: two articles were posted online under two different names, Jonah Goldberg and Kathryn Jean Lopez. The problem? They were identical, word-for-word.
