75 - 80% of the country want gays to serve openly and DADT to be repealed
If you buy into the notion that this issue is "controversial," you are buying into the MSM spin and the Washington politician's lies.

Don't use the excuse that this issue will rile up the right. The right gets riled up when Michele Obama sneezes.

Repealing DADT is the right thing to do.

It doesn't require a lot of political capitol.

The only thing stopping the repeal is homophobia, repeated daily, including here, that this somehow is too controversial to address.

76 - 80% of the country is ahead of Washington and the media on this.

No more excuses.

If the approval rating for a proposition (75-80% for DADT repeal) is higher than Obama's own approval rating (mid-60s?), then it requires political capital NOT to enact the proposition.

Repealing DADT won't require any political capital to be spent at all.
