* wants the money, but not for the "troops" he wants it for his
crony, criminal friends. I do not recall the figure but I have seen it several times before, you know, the total amount of taxpayer money that this Administration has "lost" or "misplaced" or that is "unaccounted for" - millions, perhaps billions - with a "b" it was.

I think the reason * is pouting and huffing and puffing so badly is because it isn't going his way. They want the money to give it away and not to "support the troops" or even the "troop" - he really is an idiot I can't believe he used that term. He is not interested in truly supporting the troops nor are his crony, criminal friends. They haven't supported the troops yet. That money is going to Halliburton, and Blackwater, and a number of other shady, secret causes and corporations that this Administration supports. * wants it his way and he wants zero accountability. God willing, those days have gone.

There is plenty of money in the bill for the "troops" and then some. If he vetoes the bill it will be blatantly obvious that he did so because he's not getting his way, even at the expense of the "troops."

NO ACCOUNTABILITY = NO MONEY! * can no longer have it his way. He can pout and pretend to be in control all he wants but no more public money for shady, secret dealings! No more supporting corporate crony friends! None! Not one red cent!

If you think about it, that's what his bullshit standoff is about. He wants the money. He wants the money to spend it like he has it and like it is his own. That is a typical Bush family trait; the public always picks up the tab for the Bush family folly. It is a historical fact and the way they operate.

Last thought for the evening, off to bed...sleep well DU!

1. While watching the reporting on the diliberations
I couldn't help but think that we could have had universal health-care for less than he's spent on Iraq.

Go figure.

2. You're so right ...
What we need to do is to bring in the nerdiest, most nit-picking IRS auditor in the country to go over the Idiot's Iraq budget with him ...

"Mr. Bush, unless you can produce legitimate receipts for all of the so-called 'war expenses' you have claimed, I am afraid we're going to have to disallow these expenditures now and in future."

3. This bill is doing nothing for us
The President won't veto it unless he wanted more money. The withdrawl date is hardly enforced by law and it is essentially non-binding.

This kicking and screaming about a veto is just a little act. It's meant to create the illusion that the democrats actually did something to put an end to the Iraq war. They didn't. They gave him a gazillion bazillion more dollars to fund the war and pretended to add a stipulation of a withdrawl date that doesn't guarantee any such withdrawl. This is the illusion of the democrats and republicans having seperate agendas - and if they do, neither of them are bringing home the troops.

They don't build billion dollar embassies so they can withdrawl from Iraq and you can bet your sweet bibby that there is going to be no withdrawl unless they are bringing them home and re-deploying them to Iran -

They won't institute a draft because that is the mistake they made with the other illegal, immoral war in Vietnam. Once they effected all the people of the United States then the outcry came - and all the protests - and we are not quite under complete control yet, once we are, they will institute a draft - but not now. So they may need those soldiers over in Iran to fight another illegal, immorral war.

I'm telling you folks, the democrats (with a few exceptions) are not on our side either. How many times do you guys have to be dissappointed or scammed before you see the truth. They are all the elite wealthy and the democrats have their fair share of war profiteerers amongst the ranks too - including Feinstein and others.

Meanwhile back in Iraq the blood keeps spilling - the children cry - the men and women are tortured - the torture continues - the bombs fall - the chemical weapons are used - the munitions are sold - the violence continues and the lives are lost - and we have a bunch of politicians playing games at everyone else's expense and at their own reaping of the money to be made off of it. WAKE UP AMERICA! SMELL THE CRIMINALS _ THE LIES _ THE WAR PROFITEERING AND THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP!

8. Interesting Tidbit I Haven't Seen Mentioned
Has anyone mentioned *'s new earpiece he had on during his convoluted speechifyin'?

I saw it as a plainly visible black dot in the middle of his left ear canal.

They are all really slip-slip-slippin away.

Guess someone jamming the signal was why he said 'troop.'

This should be pointed out ASAP, and official inquiries should be made as to who exactly is on the other end of that thing.
